Michael Guard (Co-Founder & CEO) and Dylan Marriner (Co-Founder & CTO) first joined forces when they landed on the same tee-ball team as kids.
Just a few short decades later, Michael joined ecommerce fulfillment startup Deliverr as its first product manager. Michael's teams built Deliverr's crossdocking program, B2B program, product prep program, and in-house tools for frontline operators. Deliverr was acquired by Shopify in 2022 for $2.1B and Michael led product for the $276M e-commerce business.
Before co-founding Selene Labs, Dylan was a staff engineer at Stripe where he worked on database systems that handled over a trillion dollars in annual payment volume and orchestrated cross-regional failover for disaster recovery. Prior to Stripe, Dylan was a principal engineer at AWS Lambda where he was tech lead for 100+ engineers and architected systems that saved more than $50M in infrastructure costs while improving system reliability.
